Assessing the state of the European feed compound industry while the world's leaders gather in Glasgow to discuss what can be done to combat climate change is a daunting prospect. Some would have us believe it's already too late to arrest the rise in global temperatures, a view which may be worryingly close to the truth but not one we can afford to accept. The counter argument is that we've always found solutions in the past and will do so again.Wherever reality lies between these two extremes, the way ahead is bound to be challenging, not least for our own industry, with so many questions being raised about methane emissions from farm livestock, alongside the environmental load of sourcing, transporting, and processing compound feeds.
