MRC recycles a million Connecticut mattresses

Hartford,Connecticut-The Mattress Recycling Council's Bye Bye Mattress programme has recycled its millionth mattress in Connecticut.More than 18,000 tons of waste have been diverted from landfill as a result of its activities in the state.The Connecticut programme began in 2015.Nearly 300 organisations and bus inesses such as municipal waste stations,mattress retailers,hotels,universities and hospitals have signed up to recycle through the scheme.
