Urea market rally to continue into January

Traders decided late last week that urea prices had corrected far enough and began to buy again. Granular urea bottomed out around $230/t fob in Algeria for December over the weekend, since when prices have been bid up in all areas. Tight supply of urea looks set to continue through January in the absence of large Chinese exports and the year will end on a positive note for producers elsewhere.
