There are indications from key Middle East producers that the majority of contract negotiations have drawn to a successful close. Contracts with traders are still reported to span the low-tomid-$ 70s/t fob, a slight drop down for some by a few dollars. For 4Q contracts with Brazil, there is confirmation from the buy and sell-sides of prices settling in the $80-82/t cfr Santos range. With freight between the Middle East and Brazil estimated at $12-15/t this is equivalent to high-$60/t fob.
