A recovery in the phosphates markets sits against a backdrop of low global sulphur supply because of production problems/bad weather conditions in the Middle East, and seasonally low availability from Canada and Russia. Phosphates prices continue to firm dramatically. With Brazilian MAP values high, potential imports into the US are being diverted away to markets with higher returns. However, US values are rallying significantly on tight supply, a lack of imports and empty bins.
