Potash Ridge signs hydrochloric acid deal

Fertilizer producer Potash Ridge has signed an offtake agreement with chemicals firm Jones-Hamilton for the by-product hydrochloric acid, which is to be produced at its Valleyfield SOP project in Quebec. Potash Ridge will sell its production of hydrochloric acid from the 40,000 t/yr Valleyfield SOP facility to Jones- Hamilton for at least 10 years. In return, Jones-Hamilton will provide $7.5mn for Valleyfield's hydrochloric acid equipment.
