The market may have bottomed out in other regions, but northwest Europe is realigning after Chinese and Indian contracts were settled, as buyers expected. Strong supply levels of granular MOP have kept prices under pressure in Benelux. Much of Europe remains on holiday, but offers for granular MOP are coming in from ICL, APC and Uralkali, and buyers will return to the market in a more favourable position than when they left it. SQM said it has sold out of granular MOP and has limited standard MOP left, and it is awaiting a shipment of 10,000-20,000t, due around the third week of September. But it has some MOP available in Spain.
