Indian tender tonnage lifts the market

For reasons little understood, MMTC of India issued a tender this week stating it needed to buy 1.5mn tonnes of urea for October shipment. The tonnage was higher than trade expectations and immediately sparked a debate on whether India would buy the full quantity and its impact on price.
