Rubber industry'must put people first'to deliver sustainabilty goals

SINGAPORE: The rubber industry"needs to formulate policies and put in place actions that are people-centred,"said Salvatore Pinizzotto,secretary-general of the International Rubber Study Group(IRSG),reviewing discussions at the recently held World Rubber Summit 2021*.The natural rubber(NR)sector alone sustains 40 million people with their families around the globe with a sup-ply-chain generating more than $300 billion,noted Pinizzotto.
