It is my pleasure to introduce Dr Daniel Lubin as a rising star in cytopathology. Dr Lubin earned his bachelor's degree at Brown University in Rhode Island, and he remained there for his time at the Warren Alpert Medical School. After this, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed his anatomic pathology/clinical pathology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Again, he chose to stay on for a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, where he developed a strong interest and gained experience in head and neck pathology. After his surgical pathology fellowship, Dr Lubin had the opportunity to move to New York for a cytopathology fellowship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr Lubin was recruited to join the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, as an assistant professor. At Emory, he is based primarily at Emory Midtown Hospital, where his clinical work is focused on the busy cytopathology and head and neck pathology services.
