I'm a Women in STEM Ambassador teaching engineering in a FE college and I have to report that I'm becoming increasingly disappointed with the decreasing number of girls applying for any of the courses I teach. I don't know why this is, but I suspect the statement that: 'engineers change the World' is slightly confrontational and therefore off-putting - I suggest that 'engineers improve the World' might be a better slogan from now on.
