The sulphur market is undoubtedly under pressure, testified by the most recently concluded spot prices. In Brazil, the most recent spot business has been concluded at $110-115/t cfr, thought closer to the low end. In China, there are no fresh granular deals being reported but molten sales are dropping - South Korean sulphur is sold at $110/t fob and two sales of Japanese molten sulphur were con- cluded between lower. Foskor in South Africa and JPMC in Jordan both bought fresh spot tonnes at undisclosed prices - it is almost certain that both sales were finalised at levels below last concluded business. In the Mediterranean, sales into Turkey have moved down to around $120/t cfr.
