Some new import requirements this week have further underlined price stability in the market, and there now ap- pears to be some upward price pressure evident in Yuzhny and in southeast Asia. In Indonesia, Kaltim has awarded its 4 April sales tender for 15,000t to Mitsui at $345/t fob – up $2/t from its previous sales tender last month. The cargo is due to load in April but Mitsui has yet to nominate a vessel. Meanwhile in India there has been some considerable buying interest outside of the usual supply channels, refecting the tight supply situation in the Middle East. FACT has issued a tender for a prompt shipment of 7,500t (+/-) this week, closing 11 April. The cargo is for 14-20 April delivery to Cochin.
