The MOP market is slow as the season nears an end. Domestic stocks are depleting but there is no requirement to rebuild them again until autumn. In addition, there is no incentive to step in now as buyers predict granular spot prices will drift below ?250/t cfr equivalent in the short-term. Farmers are also battling with low crop prices so are keeping products in store rather than selling. This is reducing available cash-flow and limiting warehouse space; again discouraging fertilizer/potash purchasing.
