HJ Baker sells Tiger-Sul to Platte River

HJ Baker has sold sulphur fertilizer producer Tiger-Sul Products to Denver-based private equity firm Platte River Equity. HJ Baker, which has owned Tiger-Sul since 2005, will retain a minority stake in the company, which produces sulphur bentonite, micronutrient and specialty fertilizers. Tiger-Sul will remain headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, and continue to operations in Alabama, California, Alberta and China.
