European farmers called for duties on fertilizer imports to be terminated, to lower European prices. Farmers also called for an investigation into the possibility of price fxing and cartels within the fertilizer sector. "It is all too clear that something is not right when it comes to our upstream industries and inputs, especially for the fertilizer market," European farmers' federation Copa-Cogeca secretary-general, Pekka Pesonen, said. A signifcant de- crease in energy prices has not been refected in fertilizer prices, he said.
