BASF will be reducing its caprolactam production capacity in Europe by 100,000t/yr to 400,000t/yr over the next 18 months. At the producer’s Ludwigshafen site in Germany, parts of the caprolactam production and other plants producing the precursors anolone and oleum will be permanently closed as part of the measure.
