摘要

Staffordshire County Council has approved an application for a fuel storage and feed system for alternative feed firing at a greenfield site next to Cauldon cement works. An application for hazardous substance consent was delegated to officers to determine at a later date. The cement works formed part of a wider minerals complex, which included limestone and shale quarries together with built development. The operation was a nationally significant cement works producing 960,000 tonnes of cement a year.
