The first week of 2015 was a quiet one for the ammonia market, with traders in Russia and Ukraine away for much of this week due to the Orthodox Christmas holiday. In the Middle East, Marubeni this week reported that it had bought a 23,000t cargo from Muntajat which will load from Qatar at the end of January, but no price was disclosed, with Marubeni only reporting that the cargo had been purchased at an “index” price.
