Eastern Railway provides all round care for the security and wellbeing of the lady passengers as well as lady Railway beneficiaries. As a token of appreciation of achievement of meritorious daughters, outstanding lady employees were felicitated by Eastern Railway women's Welfare Organization (ERWWO). Several self defence camps were organized at Headquarters and at Divisional level to enable lady employees to protect themselves. Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway is continuing their crusade to protect the lady passengers as well as provides all round assistance to women commuters in distress. Under Operation Nanhe Farishtey, RPF has rescued 713 children in the year 2022 out of which 333 were girls. Under Operation Dignity, RPF of Eastern Railway has rescued 73 women in need of care and protection during 2022. The Operation Matrishakti is another endeavour of Railway Protection Force by which RPF has assisted and facilitated 13 pregnant women in child birth in trains or at Railway premises by ensuring due care and proper dignity. Besides, drives are continuing to protect interests of the lady passengers travelling in ladies compartments.
