摘要

This paper demonstrates the working of a reliable prototype security system based on biometric fingerprint technology. The prototype design includes interfacing of hardware and software. We have developed a comfortable, secure, approachable user-friendly solution consuming very little power. For certain application devices, other than locks, unique components compatible to the Arduino UNO are required. Otherwise, the basis of our design remains the same. We enroll our fingerprints through the optical fingerprint sensor, which is capable of fingerprint resemblance, fingerprint compilation, fingerprint seeking and fingerprint enrolment function. If an enrolled finger is placed on the sensor, the lock opens, and then closes again in a brief moment. This time interval can be changed accordingly by the user. If an un-enrolled finger is placed on the sensor, the lock remains closed.
