Using laser technologies for the restoration of metallic objects of history and culture

This paper discusses the use of laser technologies in the restoration of metallic objects of history and culture. Examples are given of the use of lasers in restoration, including the results of work on the cleaning and welding of arts-and-crafts objects, carried out at the State Hermitage by means of a Nd:YAG process laser.
