N&N Agriculture Pte Ltd operates one of three layer farms in Singapore. Built in 2000 the farm, located in Lim Chu Kang Agrotechnology Park is regarded as an advanced outfit with modern facilities accommodating 85,000 hens/house.At its peak, it produces 450,000 eggs/day. This is at a rate of 91% per day of total population, more than 10 percentage points above the benchmark of 80% for a multi-age farm.The farm is a member of the Singapore Quality Egg Scheme implemented by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) to ensure safe and fresh eggs. It has six layer houses and two pullet houses where young birds stay until week 17. The layers are kept in service for about 60 weeks in multi-tier cages.
