The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline operator has begun filling the first 27.5 Bcm/year string of the link with gas and plans to build the pressure gradually ahead of further testing, it said Oct. 4. In a statement, Nord Stream 2 AG said the first string of the pipeline had already undergone precommissioning activities to assure the pipeline’s integrity.
