The VW Caddy needs no introduction to the veterinary profession in Ireland, such has been its popularity with practices and, indeed, the general public. The fifth generation is now in the forecourts and Austin Shinnors reports on his driving test of this iconic van. He also previews another German commercial: the all-electric Mercedes Benz e-Vito, now available with a bigger battery.Practically everything in the latest Caddy is new: new engines, new suspension, new trim and new technology. The shapeis also innovative but it comes from the VW design manual where styling changes are gradual, evolution instead of revolution. Chances are the tenth generation Caddy will be recognisable from today's edition. The costa azul metallic paint gave the Caddy a great finish and looked very well.
