摘要

As we discussed in August's Moonwatch, a number of seemingly distinct mountain ranges along the Moon's edge had been assigned long before the Space Age and the direct lunar orbital reconnaissance by a armada of robotic and manned spacecraft. In the previous issue we wxamined the 'Mountains of Ethernal Light' along the northern lunar limb, and found that the description wasn't entirely inappropriate, for a few of the peaks near the northern polar crater Peary do indeed bask in perpetual sunlight, despite there being no true mountain range in the area.
