Toyota's car sharing experimental program using ultra compact EV 'e-com'

Toyota "e-com" was on display at Tokyo Motor Show in 1997. The e-com has gained a good reputation for both concept and real performance as a new urban commuter. As the next step, Toyota started the car sharing program using about 50 prototypee-coms in Toyota head quarter area in June this year. This paper presents an outline of the system supporting the car sharing program newly developed by Toyota.
