摘要

Several new ternary complexes of the types M(acac)(NNph).nH2O [where M = VO(IV), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II), acacH = acetylacetone, NNphH = 1-nitroso-2-naphthol, n = C, 1], M(acac)2(NNphH) [where M = Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)] and bis-pyridine adducts of Co(acac)(NNph) and Ni(acac)(NNph) have been synthesized and characterized. Molar conductance measurements in DMF show non-ionic behaviour of all the complexes. A uninegative bidentate mode of bonding of both ligands has been suggested by infrared spectral studies. Magnetic moments, ESR and electronic spectral studies are consistent with octahedral geometry for all the ternary and bis-pyridine complexes except for the Cu(acac)(NNph) complex which has been shown to possess square planar stereochemistry.
