Baeckea is not an uncommon species in Asia. Baeck-ea is the ever-popular bonsai species among bonsai enthusiasts because of its distinctive features such as small leaves and white flowers, durable, natural jin and shari, and longevity. These featuresenable Baeckea to be designed in variety of styles. Baeckea should be collected along with soil so that the roots will not dry up. Before replanting, it is best to remove the remaining soil in the root ball and all other foreign roots and plant material. Usually there will be termite nests at the base of the tree trunk, which should also be removed.
