摘要

The salts of silver, gold and palladium are effectively reduced by polysilanes, and this process is useful to deposit the metals without use of any other reductants. For the application, we report a simple and convenient method to form the pattern of metal on organopolysilane-coated films by electroless deposition. The palladium salt dissolved in alcohol is readily reduced to give metallic palladium colloid on the polysilane surface. This procedure is useful to obtain the metal pattern of copper or nickel in combination with photolithography or microcontact printing without use of any other photoresists. We report an experimentally simple technique, based on stamping of alkanethiols, to form metal pattern on organopolysilane-coated films by electroless deposition.
