Event-related potentials elicited by schematic faces in the expression discrimination task

We investigated event-related potentials (ERPs) elicited by schematic faces. Experiment measured the ERPs indicated that the amplitudes of N2, and P300 components differed significantly in the conditions of facial expressions of emotion, and P170 components were not significant between those of conditions. Consequently it was found that the P170 components reflected with the facial information processing and N2 and P300 components affected with the processing of the facial expression discrimination.
