A Swiss company has applied for a patent for a new warp knitting machine which contains at least one guidebar for laying in weft threads across the needles.The machine has an electronic control installation containing the warp knitted fabric design programme which is transmitted from the electronic patterning unit via a diskette.The diskette's design programme is read into the machine by a reading-in unit connected to the electronic control installation. The latter contains elements which set the length of at least one inlay thread being fed forward by the inlay threadguide bar in accordance with the design programme.
