AbstractEsters of 3‐phenoxybenzyl alcohol and its α‐cyano derivative with 2,2‐dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acids bearing (E)‐ or (Z)‐3‐monohalovinyl side chains (haloiodo, bromo, chloro or fluoro) were synthesised and had moderate to high insecticidal activities, but these were generally lower than those of established pyrethroids with the corresponding 3‐(dihalovinyl) side chains.
