ConocoPhillips jobbers in the Mid-Continent are hemorrhaging sales and profits, unable to compete against independent chains such as QuikTrip and rival-brand marketers with access to product that at times has been 3 8cts/gal under ConocoPhillips' rack price. But despite the jobbers' pleas for help, ConocoPhillips execs have refused to introduce any temporary allowances, adjust their rack pricing, or take supply steps that might ease the situation for marketers.
