Operation of a pilot steam pressure filtration plant for mineral products

Steam pressure filtration can be regarded as a further development of hyperbar filtration or vacuum filtration, in which saturated or superheated steam is used instead of compressed air for dewatering. With steam pressure filtration, the residual moisture of a product can be reduced noticeably compared to conventional differential pressure dewatering. This process also improves the handling properties of the bulk product, e.g. its flowability.
