摘要

With today's modern cyclone technology and the possibility of operating cyclones at 4 0-50 kPA substantial savings in power can be achieved. Replacing cyclones with 20 deg cones, which are still found in many plants worldwide, with modern gMAX technology has an extremely short payback. Besides power savings on cyclones, the combination with a millMAX pump saves on top another 7 0-20 percent power. Lower slurry velocities also result in extended lifetime of pump parts, piping and cyclone liners. Anybody operating a plant shall be aware of the possibility of how new cyclones can be operated and decide for himself the potential of power savings. Every minute counts.
