Stichweh E 6518 H Bucket Wheel in Successful Use for Gravel Processing in the USA

The German company Fritz Stichweh GmbH, which was founded in Salzhemmendorf in 1919 has been building and selling machinery primarily for sand and gravel extraction and processing since the 1930s. The poor economic situation in the German building industry with its adverse impact on domestic sales and the difficulties caused by uncontrolled copying of machine designs have prompted the company to further expand its exports overseas. This article reports on the successful installation of one of the largest suction dredger bucket wheels the company has ever built, a type E 6518 H at a gravel works in the USA.
