Betaine HCI improves carcass yield in broilers

We have conducted three broiler trials with betaine HCI, and demonstrated the ability of betaine HCL to replace choline and methionine. These trials have been fully published in other formats (for example Haldar, Ghosh and Creswell, 2011). We have also done carcass measurements in all three trials. Design of all the trials has been very similar, as follows: 1. PC (Positive control) 2. NC (Negative Control) is as PC, but with all added choline removed, from 850-1050 grams DL Methionine/t feed removedand 10 kg oil/t feed removed. 3. NC with Betaine HCI added in amounts of 1-2.5 kg/t.
