QAF Poultry seeks new avenues for progress

A part from its own quality systems and procedures, QAF Poultry which currently operates state-of the-art and the only HACCP certified poultry processing plant in Brunei is banking on its strict adherence to halal standards to widen its market base. Its target is to export to niche markets in developed countries that have a sizable Muslim population. Bohari Dasin, General Manager says the company has to focus on premium value-added products for export as its current production cost is among the highest in Southeast Asia, since all of its raw inputs are imported.
