A configurable customer tailored instrument cluster: the project active

摘要

This paper is based on the research activities carried out within the IST European funded project "ACTIVE" (Arbitrarily configurable customer tailored instrument for vehicle application). Within this project, led by Robert Bosch GmbH with the participation of Centro Ricerche Fiat, ST Microelectronics, and the University of Genova, an innovative configurable vehicle instrument cluster has been designed and developed featuring the look and feel of a classical instrument cluster and providing additional interactive functions. This development is one of the current steps towards a "user-centred design" of human machine interfaces in car.
