ASTM QUALITY AND STATISTICS COMMITTEE NAMES THOMAS MURPHY AS CHAIRMAN

Consultant THOMAS D. MURPHY of Morristown, N.J., has been named the new chairman of ASTM Committee E11 on Quality and Statistics. Murphy, an active participant in the work of E11 and its subcommittees, serving most recently as vice chairman, also holds membership in ASTM Committees E02 on Terminology and E35 on Pesticides.Committee E11, which has 200 members, promotes the use of statistical and quality control methods in the development, application, and improvement of standards.
