Towards tomorrow's SAR

Submissions will be closing in August for the UK search and rescue (SAR) aviation programme, SAR2G, to introduce a new SAR aircraft into British skies from 2024.The programme will succeed the current UK search and rescue helicopter service. Operated from ten bases around the UK by Bristow Helicopters using Sikorsky S-92s and Leonardo Helicopters AW189s, this service replaced the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy SAR Sea Kings from 2013.
