摘要

Work has been carried out to study the biotransformation of ferulic acid using Staphylococcus aureus. Variillin was the main value-added phenolic compound. The phenolic acid was identified and quantitated by TLC/HPLC. Study revealed that about 9.8mg/lof vanillin was detected as the major degradation product after 6 days of incubation period.
