Refueling operations at the UAE’s bunkering hub of Fujairah have been facing intermittent disruptions due to heavy rains and strong winds which hampered bunker fuel deliveries, local market sources said on Dec. 27. “The weather has not been favorable since yesterday… Seas were choppy, with rains and high winds. So, operations have been on and off with slight delays and stoppages,” a Fujairah-based bunker supplier said. The port, the world’s third-largest bunkering hub, was hit by flooding in July, halting bunkering operations for a few days. There were no reports of floods this time.
