China's exports of transportation fuels fell to their lowest level since 2015 last year, after Beijing restricted exports in the orst half of the year to counter overproduction and rein in carbon emissions. Combined exports of gasoline, diesel and jet came in at 34.4 million tons, down 14% from 2021. The likely volume of China's exports in 2023 is unclear at this point. The government recently awarded a orst batch of export quotas for reoned products of around 19 million tons for this year, up 46% from the orst batch awarded for 2022.
