Can you tell our readers what the Blue Hill Observatory does? The Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center is dedicated to continually measuring the weather the same way we have since 1885 and using modern technology alongside our long-term methods. We are proud to be a World Meteorological Organization Centennial Station and our mission is also to educate the public about the methods and value of the 137-year weather and climate record we have. Please tell us about your role at the Observatory. As Program Director I, work with staff and volunteers to showcase the tools and techniques of the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory. I coordinate school field trips and outreach programs, train docents, work with educators on developing new programs and displays for the Observatory, and also manage the gift shop.
