Development of metal cylinder head gasket with heat resistance hard coating

摘要

With a view to applying to the latest direct-injection diesel engines and direct-injection gasoline engines, a new low-cost metal cylinder head gasket with heat resistant hard coating for gas sealing has been developed. It has been shown that this gasket has high gas sealing potential and satisfies performance required by the latest engines simultaneously, though these two properties are generally contrary to each other.
