THE floating production, storage and offloading vessel market appears pretty buoyant at the moment, according to Mark Adeosun, Westwood Energy's offshore energy services research manager. Speaking at Upstream's FPSO webinar, he said there are 174 FPSOs operational globally, with two new units in Brazil and Mexico set to join them soon. Another 26 FPSOs are being built and due for delivery before 2026, of which 16 are leased and 10 owned by oil companies. Half of the vessels under construction will be deployed in Brazil which is where "activity is hot", Adeosun said, with the other units to be installed in the UK, Norway, India, Australia, China, Guyana, Indonesia, Israel, Mauritania and Senegal.
