Keyuan Petrochemicals starts commercial production on SBS

Keyuan Petrochemicals Inc, a manufacturer and supplier of various petrochemical prod-ucts in China, announced commercial production of one of its production lines for Sty-rene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) after successful trial production and testing in the fourth quarter of 2011. The company began construction of its new 70,000 tonnes SBS production facility in September 2010, which was completed in one year, After several trials and adjustments, one SBS production line began commercial production in December 2011. The Company produced and sold approximately 2,733 metric tonnes and 2,623 met-ric tonnes of SBS in the fourth quarter, respectively. In anoth-er development, the company has also signed a cooperation agreement with Fangcheng-gang City to build a new production facility in the Guangxi Province, the construction for which will beginin Februar/ 2012.
