As I closed last month, I advised that I had just returned from Glasgow, attending the Scotland AGM with John Hooper. This was the first in the round of Regional AGMs, many of which I will attend, Our journey to Scotland was something of an event as we both had early starts and as I headed up the Ml towards Luton airport the snow started to fall and the roads became treacherous. Anyway, all was weLl despite a two-hour delay and the weather in Scotland was better than down South. The AGM was held in one of the city's most important and prestigious buildings-the wonderful Glasgow City Chambers -made even more 'special' by the Christmas decorations and funfair lights in George Square. This Victorian masterpiece is recognised as one of the most beautiful in the UK-well worth a visit if you are in the area. It was also great to meet up with Ian Macpherson, Arthur Watt and other existing and new members of the Regional Committee.
